Day 1/2


Arrival. Accomodation in the hotel. Breakfast.
City tour. Visit to the museum of Matenadaran. The Matenadaran is one of the oldest and richest book-depositories in the world. Lunch. Visit to the museum of History.
Dinner. Night in the hotel.

Day3


Yerevan – Echmiatsin – Zvartnots – Yerevan

Breakfast.
Departure for Echmiatsin.Holy Echmiatsin Cathedral was erected at that site in the 4th century (301-303), at the dawn of the Christian conversion of the country. Echmiatsein is the residence of the Supreme Catholicos of all Armenians and the center of the Armenian Apostolic Church. Return. In the way visit to the temple of Zvartnots. The architectural masterpiece of Zvartnots was built between the years 641 and 662. Lunch in Yerevan. Visit to the open market – Vernissage.
Dinner. Night in the hotel.

 

Day 4


Yerevan – Alaverdi – Sanahin – Hagpat – Dzoraguet

Breakfast.
Visit to the monastery of Sanahin & Hagpat. The Cathedrals of Haghpat and Sanahin, two of Armenia's Unesco World Heritage sites. Constructed and expanded over several hundred years starting in the 10th century, these resplendent ecclesiastical and academic centers are reminders of Armenia's years of past glory, intellectual activity, and cultural heritage.Lunch.
Return to Dzoraguet. Dinner & night in the hotel of Dzoraguet.

Day 5


Dzoraguet – Dilijan – Hagharstine – Noraduz – Sevan –– Yerevan

Breakfast.
Departure to the lake of Sevan. In route visit to the city of Dilijan & visit to the monastery of Hagartsin. This monastic group of buildings, near the town of Dilijan. It is one of those spots in Armenia. The combination of natural and architectural beauty is very impressive. Then to Sevan. Lunch. Lake Sevan is the largest alpine high mountain freshwater lake in the Caucasus region and in Armenia Highland. Visit to Noraduz - the art of khachkar (cross-stone) is the most original manifestation of Armenian medieval culture. Noraduz which is truly considered a forest of khachkars and open-air museum, displays hundreds of khachkars. This is a unique place, where one can reveal the development of khachkarial art in its historical process.
Returne to Yerevan. Dinner. Night in the hotel.

Day 6

Yerevan – Khor-Virap – Noravank – Tatev – Goris
Breakfast.
Departure to the south of the country. Visit to Khor Virap dates back to 4th –17th centuries and offers the best view of the Sacred Mountain Ararat where Noah Ark landed. Khor Virap is one of the most popular destinations in Armenia. It is the place where Grigor Luisavorich (St. Gregory the Illuminator) was imprisoned for 13 years for preaching the word of Chris. Continuation to Noravank. Noravank the regional religious center is  situated deep in the Noravank canyon, and from a distance appears to be perched high on the flat surface of a rock, nestled into a majestic mountain. The main church of St. Karapet was built in1221-1227. Lunch. Then visit to the monastery of Tatev. The monastery was built during the 9-13th centuries as an Armenian intellectual center where philosophers, musicians, painters, calligraphers and monks lived. This monastery’s teachers produced manuscripts for the whole Armenian world.
Then go to Goris. The small town of Goris lies in the middle of Armenia in the region of Sunik. It is famous for its thousands of dwellings carved into the rock.
Night in hotel in Goris.

Day 7


Goris – Shushi –Stepanakert

Breakfast.
Departure for Karabakh. Visit to thecity of Shushi. The chuch of Ghazanchetsots, Mosques, Ganach Jham, City Walls. Shushi is a very historic town, with old city walls, churches and even mosques, from the pre-war mixed population. Now semi-abandoned, it still has a lot of natural and architectural beauty to offer visitor. The road down to Stepanakert – the capitale of Karabakh. Lunch. City tour.
Dinner & night in hotel.

Day 8

Stepanakert – Gandzasar – Stepanakert
Breakfast.
Departure for the monastery of Gandzasar. It is perhaps the most important architectural monument of Artsakh. It is located near the town of Vank of the Mardakert district of the Karabakh Republic, in the very heart of Artsakh's historical province of Khachen. For long a symbol of Artsakh's Armenian statehood, the word "Gandzasar" is translated from Armenian as "Treasure-Mountain". Lunch.
Return to Stepanakert. Dinner. Night in the hotel.

Day 9

Stepanakert – Karahunj – Yerevan
Breakfast.
Returne to Yerevan. In the route visit to the Zorats Karer (Zorats stones) or Karahunj is older than England’s Stonehenge. The scientific expeditions proved Karahunj to be the oldest observatory in the world. It dates back to the second millennium B.C. Some of the precisingly arranged huge stones have holes bored into them, which were used for astrological observations. The petroglyphs found nearby Karahunj reveal that the early inhabitants in Armenia were well aware of astrology.Lunch.
Then to Yerevan. Dinner. Night in Yerevan

Day 10

Yerevan – Garni – Gherard – Yerevan
Breakfast.
Visit to the temple of Garni.  Garni Temple, the pre-eminent example of Hellenistic culture in Armenia today, acted as the summer resort of Armenian kings over two thousand years ago. The Garni Fortress was built in the 3rd century BC on a triangular plateau. Continue to the monastery of Geghard is revered throughout Armenia as one of the country's greatest spiritual and cultural centers. Geghard is an architectural wonder – a complex of churches hewn from within a mountain of solid rock. Return in Yerevan. Lunch. Visit to the museum & the monument in honor of the victims of the 1915 Genocide of Armenians. Visit to the factory of Armenian Brandy.
Farewell party in Yerevan. Night in the hotel.
